Knuckleduster XL

SKU: FH-0015J

Our most popular frame is available again. A new Titanium Aluminum Alloy makes them lighter than the previous version. The polarized lenses are Scratch Resistant and have an Anti-Reflective Coating.  In addition to the original Smoke colored lenses, they are now available with Amber, Volcanic Red and Glacier Blue lens options. The Red and Blue are mirror coatings on Smoke colored lenses. A smaller, or Regular sized version is available for those who don't need the extra width.

Spring Temple Hinges and Adjustable Nose Pads should make for a comfortable fit. The back half of the temples are rubber tipped and completely adjustable as well.

    1. Finally a pair of sunglasses that fit!!! star rating

      Posted by elicia_stanley@me.com on 5th Jun 2017

I have tried every cheap pair of sunglasses that I can find and they all result in headaches from temple and nose pressure. I finally decided that I was willing to pay the cost of a good pair of sunglasses as long as they fit. These sunglasses are by far the largest pair that I have ever seen. After wearing these all week at the beach, I had no temple or nasal pressure. Even better, no scratches!!! I am female and it's hard to find glasses this large for females and I was worried that these would look too manly but they're not too bad looking. The only way the could be any better is if they were made more girly looking. Over all, I would recommend FatHeadZ to anyone with a large or xl head.

My husband constantly complained that all sunglasses gave him headaches because they were too tight. These were the only glasses he can wear comfortably for long periods of time. The amber glass makes everything look so bright but is not a bright amber color.

    5. knuckleduster xl is awesome star rating

I was a little concerned that these might be too big. I had a quick conversation with customer support to compare sizes and fits of other fatheadz models. Cs recommended the xl. It fits my size 8+ head perfectly. I used the Black Friday discount and bought these in December. I am just disappointed that the days are not longer and I don't get to wear them all that often until spring. Seemingly quality construction and comfortable fit. Highly recommend, especially when the price comes down on one of the many sales they run.

    6. Great Sunglasses, Even Better Service star rating

Posted by Dane Tabano on 25th Nov 2016

My second pair of these. I was surprised when only a few hours after ordering them, I got an email telling me they shipped already, awesome! I don't remember perfectly, but I think Jessica was the sales rep for the first pair I ordered years ago and provided equally stellar service then too. Thank You, Fatheadz!

Fatheadz Response: Review was edited by Fatheadz. Jessica no longer works for us, so one reference to her was removed. Thanks for the kind words Dane!

    7. Perfect fit and super cool style star rating

My first pairs of Knuckledusters were purchased back in 2011 and I wore them until 2015. I have had a pair stolen and also have lost a couple of pairs as well, but I recently purchased several pairs because they are so comfortable and so cool looking. I have never had any issues with quality or comfort of the Knuckledusters. I highly recommend these glasses for anyone with a larger head or wider face, they fit extremely well without pinching the sides of your face and nose area. They also help you look extremely cool as well.

    9. Great sunglasses! star rating

Love these shades. It's so hard for me to find a pair of sunglasses that fit. They would be absolutely perfect if they were 1/2 inch wider, but they fit and look good on. The quality of the lens is unbelievable. I wore them all day on a bright, sunny day and there was zero glare or sunlight induced grimacing. They just work. I own Fatheadz for prescription glasses as well. I'm grateful this company exists and offers a product I greatly benefit from.

    10. Good but when compared to 1st gen knuckledusters these fall very short star rating

Posted by Phil on 7th Oct 2016

I got the XL's with the polarized amber lens. For most part these are good glasses with exception of the price (I'll get to that in a bit). First off any "cons" I list are subjective. Width and temple length-wise these are in the top 3 that will fit me, but the curvature squeezes my face near the edges of my eyes. Now I've bought the 1st gen knuckledusters and I can tell there's a night and day difference in the frame design and quality. The 1st gen had a more solid thicker frame with more weight that gave it a quality feel and they were because I sat on them once in the car with no damage to the frame OR the hinges. The rubber tips on the temples adjusts in or out which is very much appreciated BUT the rubber is hard compared to the 1st gen which were softer. This matters cause I've poked my face putting these on and since the tips are quite pointy it does hurt to some degree. I know I'm nit-picking here but the feel of these $100-$150 glasses isn't on par with the 1st gen which was a LOT cheaper. I bought my 1st gen knuckledusters with black (smoke) lens at Wal-Mart for $59. I understand that fatheadz has established itself and these are very popular but $100-$150 for a different feeling frame (weight and thickness feel of cheaper quality) compared to $59 for a sturdier thicker frame with softer rubber leaves me feeling short changed a bit. All-in-all the price and frame quality are my gripes but since there's very few glasses that I could wear I don't have much ground to stand on.
