FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (April 13, 2020) – Fatheadz Eyewear has shifted production with its partners in order to produce personal protective equipment (PPE) for the front-lines.

The company is one of the many Indiana businesses across the state that is answering the call to support the global novel coronavirus (COVID-19) response effort. The state of Indiana is working with federal and local partners, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to respond to the evolving situation. The state is sourcing PPE from Indiana companies and has ordered more than 320,000 pieces of equipment to be supplied by these businesses in the coming weeks.

“Fatheadz is proud to assist in this effort and we are working to deliver one of many rounds of equipment today,” Rico Elmore, Founder and CEO, says. “We want to do our part to provide this vital equipment to the state, for them to distribute to those putting their lives on the line to help those in need.”

Fatheadz Eyewear, founded in Indiana in 2004, typically creates and offers eyewear specifically tailored to customers with heads too large to fit in standard width glasses comfortably. The company has now shifted operations with its partners to produce fluid protective goggles, safety glasses, and shields and plans to fulfill an order of several thousand items to many states this week. This pivot in production also helps to ensure jobs for Fatheadz Eyewear’s current employees.
